CNC Machining

Newland Associates provides a variety of CNC machining services wether it’s precision jobbing or mass production we have a comprehensive range of machine tools to cover your needs. All our CNC’s are regularly ball bar tested to ensure their accuracy is maintained. These robust machines are well suited to the continuous machining of difficult materials.

Horizontal Machine Centre – For mass production of milled components with twin pallets for continuous operation. This machine is equipped with the latest in spindle probing and tool management systems to ensure the accuracy of every component.

Vertical Machining Centres – For mass production or jobbing of milled components we have two VMC’s one equipped with a 4th axis and both are equipped with spindle probing and tool management systems. With the assistance of CAD/CAM all our machining centres can carry our 3D simultaneous machining operations.

Horizontal Turning Centres – For mass production or jobbing of turned and mill/turned components we have 4 HTC’s one 4 axis with live tooling and bar feeder, one 3 axis with live tooling and two 2 axis machines one with bar feeder.

EDM Wirecut – For high accuracy cutting of a variety of materials ranging from copper to tungsten, this machine has 5 axis of movement and is equipped with an automatic wire threading system for continuous unmanned operation.

Conventional Machining & Component Overhaul

We provide a variety of Fitting & Machining service ranging from repairs and jobbing to small production runs. We have a comprehensive range of machines covering small to medium sized components and can provide contracted repair services with set pricings so you can budget your maintenance.

Specialised Fabrication

We provide specialised fabrication services for jobbing and production runs of small to medium sized components and works to close tolerances with assistance of high accuracy jigging tables and fixtures. We can fabricate a wide range of materials including steel, aluminium, stainless and titanium. We also provide in house sand blasting and painting services.

Pulsed Plasma Nitriding

We provide Plasma Nitriding services for the case hardening of a large variety of materials. Plasma nitriding imparts a hard wear resistant surface without brittleness, galling or spalling. This eliminates costly cleaning or grinding to remove the brittle white layer associated with traditional nitriding. Plasma nitriding has a higher surface hardness and maintains your materials core properties due to the lower processing temperatures associated with plasma nitriding. Traditional nitriding operates at higher temperatures and can change the core properties of your material. More materials can be selected for plasma nitriding, including cast iron, mild steel, high tensile, mold, tool, high speed and stainless steels.

Sub Contracted Services

At Newland Associates we believe in being a one stop shop so we can subcontract additional service provided by some of the leading companies in their fields. Metal Finishing and coating of steels and alloys such as electroless nickel plating, copper plating, decorative chroming, decorative anodizing, hard anodizing & powder coating just to name a few. Metal Forming, Castings and Gear cutting can also be sourced if required.
